I have recently lost a little bit of weight and want to lose more but I really don't like to exercise. I just don't like it. One I really don't have any time and two I don't want to join a gym and spend the money. Unfortunately I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and start to do some sort of exercise. Any tips on what I could do that wouldn't take up a ton of time or cost a lot of money? I know once I start that it will help my weight loss but I just can't find it in myself to start. Anybody else dislike exercise? I think I would rather have a root canal hehe

You might want to just try walking at first. Even though you probably don't think you have the time, you just have to make the time. (Easier said than done, I know). And you don't have to wear weights or swing your arms or walk at a certain pace. Just walk, not too slow but like you have a purpose, and do it somewhere where you will like the scenery. I'm lucky, I live about a mile away from the ocean. I can walk to the pier, walk to the end of the pier, and then walk home again and it is about 2 1/2 miles, and I never get tired of the scenery. When I'm ready to add more length to my walks, I'll walk on the beach for a while before I start for home.

Also, try getting a weight bench and some weights. There is something about lifting weights that makes you feel really good. I guess it's the endorphin thing or something. You can lift weights while you watch TV, so you won't get bored.

I hope this helps!

I don't either. I got an elliptical swearing I'd use it. It's cheap and not smooth like the ones at a gym, so I don't do it. I've got fitness programs On Demand through the cable company. There are workouts that are short and I can't make myself do those either. I have tapes and a bicycle. The only thing that's really worked for me is going to the gym with DH. Then we're accountable to each other.

Shannon..if you dont "have the time" to exercise...when will you find the time to go to a gym?..that doesn't make any sense. Get out and walk!..The.."I don't have the time"..is such a lame excuse.

Just my opinion
