How about recipes for good nutritious snacks? I'd like to have something tasty on hand that I can eat, if I get hungry between meals. Chips are so tasty, but not good for diet and fitness. Carrots, celery, and broccoli are nutritious, but dull and not good. Any ideas?

When I think "tasty" and "good for you", what always comes to my mind is fruit. I like to buy tropical fruit coctail and put it in a plastic bowl in the freezer til it gets just a little icy (not completely frozen). It is so good, and so refreshing. Frozen grapes are also delicious. Another favorite healthy snack is apple slices with just a little bit of peanut butter on them.

What I found to be really yummy is a toasted plain bagel with fat free strawberry cream cheese and topped with manderine oranges. It is so good. You have the crunch from the bagel and the sweet from the cream cheese and the oranges. Really quick and east to put together too.

Have you ever tried popcorn cakes? They are similar to rice cakes but made with popcorn. A friend of mine was eating one last week and I tried it. Really really good. I just bought some at the store(they were on sale) carmel flavored. They are good and filling. If you wanted maybe but a little reduced fat peanut butter on them.

I have seen those weight watchers snacks, like muffins and little cakes. I think the muffins came in like double chocolate and blueberry. The little cakes I saw were lemon and chocolate. I think the muffins were 3 points a piece and the little cakes were 1 point a piece. They would be great to take on the go for sure. And chocolate to boot you can't get much better than that. They were a little expensive but if you are looking for convenience and nutrition this would definitely be a good choice.

I have tried the weight watchers muffins and cakes and they are great. The double chocolate is really good. I have never tried the blueberry or lemon but have also tried the chocolate cakes. They have a little frosting on them. Yes they are a little expensive but Super Walmart carries them and they tend to run a little cheaper there vs. grocery stores. Weight Watchers yogurts are good too. They are only 1 point. Oh weight watchers also makes great ice cream treats. Threre are 1 point ice cream bars and there are No Pudge Fudge that makes some that come out to 0 points are suprisingly good. Summer is coming so I will be stocking up on them.

I find grabbing a protein bar helps out a lot. They really fill me up so that I am not snacking on other stuff throughout the day. Some of them are really bad but others are ok. You have to experiment to see which one works and tastes bast to you. The hardest time for me is mid afternoon. That long stretch between lunch dinner is a bear sometimes. These have helped me out a lot.

I really enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables as a snack. With summer coming and the fresh fruits and vegetables will be easier to come by and will make it a lot easier. We go berry picking too which is really fun. I like to take plain fat free yogurt and add fresh strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Really good. A tomato fresh off the vine from the garden with fat free cottage cheese is one of my favorites.

Gee..lots of good ideas here...personally...I like the fresh fruit approach. There is always grapes, apples, and bananas available in my house. Ohh..and strawberry season is just around the corner!!
And I also agree with Bunny...bagels also fit the bill!!..
Personally..I dont need weight watchers...you guys are falling for the hype...
Just my opinion
